Dr. Luisa Barzon, from our Partner University of Padova (UNIPD), delivered an impactful invited talk representing Yellow4FLAVI at the Infectious Disease Meeting in Milan last month.
Her presentation centered on vaccines for vector-borne viral diseases, showcasing groundbreaking findings from the recent Nature Communications paper published by Yellow4Flavi partners. These results highlight the pivotal role of vaccine-induced immunity in combating flavivirus infections.
Dr. Barzon also detailed the Y4F's primary goal: decoding the immune responses triggered by the yellow fever vaccine YF17D to inform the development of other flavivirus vaccines. Her insights sparked engaging discussions among experts and underscored the importance of collaborative research in infectious diseases.
